We bought it to read as preparation for the performance of the show-- but only have one ticket...so my daughter is going. What I will say is that this is a great book that highlights the courage of a young boy whose life is not "privileged" in any sense of the word. Great ending also!!! Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features.

It’s a school year like no other. But the most important thing is a flyer advertising "Herman E. Calloway and the Dusky Devastators of the Depression. The story is filled with so much from history , to interest in music arts I can't even explain. I read Bud, Not Buddy back in fifth grade and I clearly remember it being one of the first books other than Harry Potter that I read ahead in.
