Maybe One Day is, at its heart, a book about friendship. A fairly typical cancer book on my opinion. I also really liked this book because it also taught a lesson of how when someone knocks you over with your passion, it doesn't mean you can't get back up and enjoy your passion anymore. Not everything is a John Green book.I was worried about Zoe’s budding relationship with Calvin because I didn’t want Olivia to be hurt. Marking this as a book to check out, especially if I’m after an emotional packed novel. Summary: Maybe One Day tells the captivating story of friends Zoe, and Olivia. I love this book you guys. So when Olivia is diagnosed with leukemia Zoe is determined to put on a brave face and be positive for her best friend.Even when she isn't sure what to say.Even when Olivia misses months of school. But grief isn’t this glamorous, beautiful thing. There are very few books out there that can make me have the ugly cry moment and this one has made the list. It’s just not something we like to admit, because it IS ugly. Well, I'll keep on auditioning and one day maybe I'll go to LA and try out for films there.
