I love this movie and have since I first saw it on TV back in the 80s. Shot to a picture ratio of 2:35 in 1976, this film has been only available so far in pan and scan, which means that the picture had been chopped and re-framed to fit our old 4/3 square TV screens. I could not view this DVD on my player as it was as previous people have mentioned for region 4(PAL format) and Canada is a different zone. This has been a long cherished musical of mine ever since I first saw it. "The Slipper And The Rose" is a beautiful version of the classic Cinderella story. I have seen it ten times already and when I found it on prime I was sooooo happy. The Slipper and the Rose (directed in the UK in 1976 by Bryan Forbes and produced by Stuart Lyons) has lots of things in it, from songs, dance, humor, drama and also wonderful costumes and sceneries.
